So… what are you?”
A question that seems harmless on the surface—but for many, especially within the LGBTQIA+ community, it’s anything but. Because when labels become the standard way to understand (or judge) each other, something essential gets lost: the rich, layered complexity of being human.
We often think of gender as something simple: male, female, or maybe some newer terms like non-binary or bisexual. But gender isn’t just about biological sex. It’s an intersection of identity, attraction, expression, and yes—emotion.

Sam Killermann’s “Genderbread Person” breaks this down into four aspects that shape each person uniquely. No two experiences are the same, and even for one individual, these aspects might shift and evolve over time.
Take, for example, the concept of being gender-fluid. It describes a gender identity that moves. One day, someone may feel more feminine; another day, more masculine—or neither. It’s not about being indecisive. It’s about being honest with what’s felt inside. It’s not necessarily about transitioning—it’s about existing, fully, in the fluidity of discovery.
In truth, maybe we don’t need to name everything.Maybe we don’t need to fit into one clear box. What matters most is knowing what you feel, honoring it, and living it.
That’s the spirit behind what we call The Gender Glass — a perspective that sees beyond labels. It’s about reflection, emotion, and personal truth. It’s about who you are when no one is asking you to explain.
You might identify as gay, straight, bi, non-binary—or maybe you don’t identify as anything at all. That’s okay. What matters is that you’re living your truth.
Because beyond every label lies a version of you that’s freer, truer, and more beautiful than anything the world has ever tried to call you.
At Lezzy, we don’t ask, “What are you?”. We begin with something that really matters:
